How the partnership works
One fee. The year's content is yours.
One $400 fee, renewable each year. No multi-year lock-in, and you renew only if it is working for your shop. What you pay for is the content: every program we release that year is yours to run whenever you like, this year or next. You are not locked to our calendar.

What we ask of partners
- Carry the must-stock list: core books, patterns, and Stripology rulers. The rulers come through Checker Distributors; everything else ships direct from GE
- Host at least 8 Stripology-based classes a year, with an 18-month grace period to get there
- Keep a dedicated Stripology display, in your shop or online

Questions shop owners ask
The honest answers.
What if my classes do not fill?
Stripology is a proven program with two decades of teaching behind it, and we help you plan a calendar that fits your shop. The 18-month grace period gives you room to build the rhythm before the class minimum applies.
Do I have to teach it myself?
No. If you do not have a Certified Stripology Instructor on staff, we give you access to our network of Certified Stripology Instructors. Many shops also put a staff member through Certified Stripology Instructor training, so they can teach their own classes on their own schedule. Either path works.
What does it really cost?
One $400 annual fee, plus the must-stock list to get started (rulers through Checker, the rest direct from GE), then whatever you choose to stock beyond that. For an active shop, the free US shipping and the extra partner margin offset the fee over the year.
Am I locked into a contract?
No. It is a one-year partnership with no auto-renewal. You renew each year only if it is working for your shop.
Will I get support after I join?
We onboard every partner personally and stay your direct contact. You also get quarterly Zoom sessions with Gudrun and the wider partner network.
Will another shop near me get it too?
We protect your area. We review every application for overlap with existing partners, and we talk to the partner already in a region before we add anyone near them. We don't stack competitors. Early sign-ups get first claim on their territory, so the sooner you join, the better protected you are.
I already buy GE products through my distributor. Why open a direct account?
Keep your Checker account for Stripology rulers. Everything else ships direct from GE: an extra 10% partner margin, the full class programming, new releases first, and a real person who knows your shop. You are not switching, you are adding the direct line for everything your distributor does not give you.
GE Designs sells to quilters directly. Does that compete with my shop?
Our consumer marketing builds the demand you capture locally. When a quilter near you finds Stripology through Gudrun, our store locator and partner directory point her to your door, and Live Show Spotlights feature your shop to that national audience. We grow the demand and send it to partner shops.
